Hey all, new to the forum. I've been eyeing a repossessed John Deere tractor on promachinery.com and I'm a bit nervous about the whole online auction process for something this big. Is Pro Machinery legitimate? Worried about the bidding process and title transfer. Any experiences to share?

You're in the right place to ask. I bought a Kubota L-series from Pro Machinery about a year ago. The whole thing was smoother than I expected. I was most concerned about the title, but the bank had it all cleared after my payment, and the clear title was delivered right along with the tractor. No issues at all.

ProMachinery is a solid company. I've successfully bought two skid steers from their auctions over the last three years. My only tip is to use a desktop for bidding, their website promachinery.com is much easier to navigate on a bigger screen when you're comparing specs and photos.

I'll be honest, the process gave me some anxiety. The delivery of my dozer was delayed by three days past the original estimate, which wasn't ideal. But I have to give Pro Machinery credit, their support team kept me in the loop with updates. The machine arrived in the exact condition they advertised, so it was just a minor logistics hiccup.

@WaryBuyer_Will yeah heavy haul scheduling can be a pain sometimes. Glad promachinery got it sorted for you. My Bobcat from them actually showed up a day early haha. It's a bit of a lottery.

To the OP's original point about titles - that was my main stressor. But honestly, the best part was not having to chase down the title myself. It was all handled by Pro Machinery and the bank. The notarized, clear title arrived with my backhoe. Super professional.

A client of mine won a Komatsu excavator from a ProMachinery auction and had me inspect it on arrival. The machine was exactly as described on the website. No signs of hidden damage, engine hours were correct. I was impressed with the accuracy of their listing.

The proxy bidding system on promachinery.com was a bit confusing for me at first. I sent an email to office@promachinery.com to ask for help. It took them about 24 hours to respond, but the agent who called me back was incredibly patient and walked me through the whole process. Ended up winning a nice forklift.

Hey Sue, I had to learn that too. Once you get the hang of setting your max bid, it's actually a great feature. Saves you from having to watch the auction like a hawk. Glad the Pro Machinery team helped you out!

Just wanted to add my positive experience. I bought a Grove crane from Pro Machinery a few months back. Got it for a great price and the condition was even a little better than the pictures showed. No complaints from me.

Same here, the whole process with Pro Machinery was surprisingly simple. I was dreading the paperwork side of things but it was all handled for me. A big relief.

Good experience with promachinery.com here too. Got a mini excavator. Would use them again.

Just won a Volvo wheel loader from a promachinery auction last week! Very excited for it to get here. The support team has been great with communication so far, sent me the transport details right away.

Wow, this is more feedback than I expected. Thanks so much everyone! It's really reassuring to hear so many positive stories, especially about the titles. I feel a lot more confident about bidding on that tractor now. I'm going for it. Appreciate the help!
